What Does It Mean to Sponsor a Doggie?
At Santa Barbara Animal Help, we take great care of our furry friends. Each doggie that comes into our care requires a minimum of €750 to cover initial accommodation, veterinary bills, food, and other essentials. As we do not have our own kennel, we pay a pet hotel to provide a comfortable home for our dogs. We also provide them with beds, blankets, harnesses, leads, treats, toys, any necessary medications and anything else they need.
The list of our doggies that are currently looking for sponsorship is below, and any support you can offer will be gratefully received. If you would like to sponsor part or all of the costs for a particular dog, please get in touch with us to discuss the options.
In addition to sponsoring a dog, you can also donate a fixed fee to help cover the imminent costs that Santa Barbara Animal Help is facing. Your donation will go a long way in helping us provide the best possible care for our furry friends.
Thank you for considering supporting Santa Barbara Animal Help. Together, we can make a difference in the doggies' lives!

Sweet Cookie is a yellow Labrador (possibly mixed breed) and the proud mother of nine healthy puppies. Unfortunately, Cookie's owners need to change housing and the new options will not allow for 10 dogs. The owners wanted to be sure Cookie and her babies will find new loving families and asked SBAH to help.
Cookie currently is 24 kilograms but is a bit underweight from feeding nine little ones. Cookie is now sterilized and microchipped. Her vaccines are up to date as well.
Cookie's babies were born 23 February 2026 and are expected to be between 20-30 kilograms when grown.

Smiling Max is a jovial as he looks!! This friendly and extremely intelligent boy has exuberance for everything in life, and is looking for an active human playmate (or playmates!).
Max has been a willing and devoted student in a dog training course. He is learning many cues and is adjusting his behavior to be patient, calm, and obedient in various situations at home, in the car, on walks, at cafes, and in stores. Max's new family will want to commit to reinforcing all that Max is learning. Currently, Max is living with a foster family and is understanding how rewarding it is to be part of the household pack, complete with humans, cats and other dogs.
Max is almost two years old and weighs 18 kilograms. He is sterilized, vaccinated, and chipped.
If you would like to meet happy Max, please contact us.
Thank You for Saving a Pet!
